Project overview
An interior fit-out for a high-end hair salon situated in a heritage building in Auckland's Britomart.
The client wanted a gallery-like work space suitable to display works by the artist Michael Parekowhai.
My design concept aimed to filter out the distractions of a busy CBD corner location and using materials reminiscent of the building's original use as engineering works.

The project was a success and has been in daily use as a high-end hair salon and art showcase since the completion in 2013.
It was awarded Bronze at the 2013 Best Design awards.
