Project overview
An interior fit-out for a high-end hair salon situated in a heritage building in Auckland's Britomart.
The client sought a gallery-like work space suitable to also display works by the renowned NZ artist Michael Parekowhai.
The design concept aimed at an atmosphere of calm, filtering out the distractions of a busy CBD location and using materials reminiscent of the building's original use as engineering works.

Final result
The project was a success and continues to function as a high-end hair salon since its completion in 2013.
It was awarded Bronze at the 2013 NZ Best Design awards.
